Sony SuperHAD CCD
Sony developed SuperHAD CCD technology as a way to minimize the effects of smear and video noise associated with bright points of light in an otherwise darker image. Without those obscuring elements in the picture, you'll have an easier time identifying persons and objects in the vicinity of that light source.
EDR (Extended Dynamic Range)
EDR is a Pelco developed technology (patent pending) designed to correct scenes suffering from high contrast and harsh backlighting. EDR's way of overcoming this is by separately processing the bright and dark areas of an image and then combining the two to produce a well defined image that is neither overexposed nor underexposed.
Compact Profile
You'll appreciate the camera's compact design as this gives you a greater range of areas where you can place the camera. The camera's compact profile will also turn out to be an advantage when you need to pair it with an outdoor housing.
